When I learned the sad news of John Olerud's daughter, I decided to listen to what I had to say about it because I know it is expected of me to cross that bridge by saying something. I didn't go to church, I laid down and remembered the team that allowed me to connect with them, or to put it more accurately, allowed themselves to connect with me. I saw John Olerud use team sign to regard this like a hot potato. I saw him break the Infield Fly Rule during the 2002 mutiny, and he's allowed to call me crazy. He is a gracious man. He is also up against a hideous strength to which dignified American manhood has largely surrendered and where true understanding is scarce. It is certainly not my place to speak for him, but in telling me to sit down a minute and talk, Brett Boone and his fellow team mates, cowed in the end though they were, did try to save the Olerud girl from what awaited. I believe they genuinely knew and were deeply concerned by the helplessness at work in what they knew about the sinister ploy of government's Pentagon Disney machine giving false words about Mt. Desert Island. There was something incongruous about Pittsburgh, a dorky, Bermuda Triangle of a place, heaping hostility on a brain damaged person struggling to find grace from cowardly attacks. It's hard to be magnanimous towards persons so unworthy and undeserving as that. Largely, and certainly when it comes to Donald Trump, I have given up trying, but then, I have little to lose even against warriors as despicable as Sir Paul McCartney. The Mariners did not dare say anything tangible, but they wished they dared.
I don't like having it left to me because I understand from my own reflections in StoryChecksOut.org how reprehensible and just what it is this has been.
